The Green Valley area has so much to offer photographers.  Natural beauty surrounds us and activities abound.  Take a journey through these photo galleries to appreciate our community.

There are numerous photo-opps at venues such as:  The Green Valley Recreation (GVR) Senior Games and the Follies, the White Elephant Parade, the Car Nuts Show and Luminaria Nights~Fiesta de Navidad in Tubac, the Day of the Dead parade and the Rodeo in Tucson, the El Tour de Tucson bicycling event, the San Xavier Mission – Pow Wow, the Arivaca Home Tour, the Pecan Festival, the Tubac Balloon Festival, the Titan Missile Museum, the ASARCO Mineral Discovery Center, the de Anza Trail, Madera Canyon, the Santa Rita Mountains, the Kitt Peak and Whipple  Observatories; hiking, birding, biking, motorcycling, swimming, golf and all sorts of exercise and sports; and exhibitions of artwork by our Clay Studio, Jewelry Crafts, Woodworkers, Santa Rita Art League, and the Camera Club.  We are so fortunate to be living here.

Green Valley Senior Games – 2014” — Gene Komaromi prepared a video of photos taken by 23 members of the Camera Club celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Senior Games in Green Valley.  CLICK HERE to view the video on Vimeo (40 minutes in duration).  The following games are featured:  Bicycling, Bocce, Chess, Cribbage, Snooker, Bowling, Throw-Punt-Pass-Kick, Pickle Ball, Shuffleboard, Racquet Ball, Swimming, Walleyball, Horseshoes, Table Tennis, Canasta, Ma Jongg, Womens 8 Ball, Sheapshead, Euchre, Golf, Bean Bag Toss, and Water Volley Ball.

Linda GregoryLife in Green Valley” —  Linda Gregory volunteered to create a slideshow of Club member photographs.   Subsequently, the images were included in a “Scavenger Hunt” ProShow Gold production with the theme topic “Life in Green Valley”.  This slideshow was played at a GVCC Showtime.  CLICK HERE to view the video on Vimeo.   • Image Files - JPEG, 1024 pixel size, at web-friendly resolution, preferably with Exif meta data
  • Presentations (recommended) - PCs:  ProShow Gold and Producer output to MPEG-4; MACs: iPhoto and iMovie (also Apple Keynote and Final Cut Pro) output to MPEG4, h.264 .  Cross-Platform:  Adobe Premiere Elements output to MPEG-4, h.264.
  • Video (includes audio) - MPEG4, h.264 codec; NTSC Standard; progressive scanning; 720p to 1080p resolution, 30 fps preferred; 16:9 aspect ratio preferred, 4:3 aspect ratio OK; maximum duration 15 minutes.
  • Website presentation and video plugins - Vimeo; shown directly in Wordpress website
  • Audio (only) - MP3; The free software program titled "Audacity" is a good audio editor.
  • Member Posts - Submissions: .txt and .TEXT files preferred; WORD.doc acceptable
  • Member Links - To non-commercial personal outside websites; linked in member's GVCC personal gallery/bio; and approved by GVCC Webmaster

Note:  There are other software Titles that are acceptable for developing and outputting suitable formats for presentations and videos to be shown in this website (i.e., Microsoft Windows Movie Maker, Adobe Flash, and Adobe Elements).

FEATURED PHOTO GALLERY -- "Members Favorite Image"
GVRCC members are invited to submit their images for Featured Galleries and other galleries in the Website. Subject matter should support the gallery title. Instructions on how to submit images for our website galleries are provided on the GVRCC "Photographic Image Submission Form" that is available on the sidebar of Gallery pages in this website.  Any questions - contact Jim Roberts by email to:
The "Members Favorite Image" Featured Photo Gallery is the first of a series of favorite galleries that will be presented during the 2017 -2018 GVRCC season.  Look forward to submitting your images in categories such as Portrait, Landscape, Action Sports, Wildlife, Photojournalism, Architecture, etc.  Looking forward, member suggestions for Featured Photo Galleries are also welcome.
